Buzznet And Warped Tour Team Up!
Good news, guys! We have partnered with the Vans Warped Tour to produce “The Official Warped Tour 2011 Online Community.”
The Official Warped Tour Community delivers a multi-media experience where fans, bands, Vans Warped Tour correspondents, and Buzznet reporters and photographers can post news, photos, videos and other tour coverage, delivering the most comprehensive, inside look into Summer’s biggest tour. Fans can expect to see content posted directly by the bands as they document the tour sharing stories and behind-the-scenes photos. In addition, Buzznet will be sending its stringer network of photographers and citizen journalists from all over the country to select dates to document live performances, artist meet-and-greets, festival highlights and Vans Warped Tour fashion trends. Content created by official Vans Warped Tour bloggers will also be posted to the tour community, revealing the inner-workings of the tour including production, charity programs, off-hours, travel experiences and back-stage action. Select stories will be syndicated across BUZZMEDIA’s portfolio of sites including PureVolume , Idolator , AbsolutePunk , Celebuzz , TheSuperficial and others.
To make the experience even more unique, the two companies are collaborating with the touring bands on two exclusive programs, “Rotten Tourmatoes” and “Betty Rocker’s Guide To Warped Tour Cookery,” which will deliver an even more fun, exclusive and intimate look at a side of the Vans Warped Tour rarely exposed to the masses.
“Rotten Tourmatoes” will bring out the Siskel and Ebert in every rock-star as they travel around the country on the multi-city tour. Prior to taking off, Buzznet will give a select group of bands popular films to watch on DVD on their tour buses. As the bands travel between cities, they’ll have a chance to watch the movies and create critical reviews via video blogs. Stay tuned as bands like A Skylit Drive review “Black Swan” and Hellogoodbye reveal if they’re on team Edward or Team Cullen after they watch “New Moon.”
Buzznet, the Vans Warped Tour and participating bands will also be producing a music tour cookbook titled “Betty Rocker’s Guide To Warped Tour Cookery” which will highlight many of the delicious meals that bands cook for one another while on the tour, particularly vegetarian and vegan cuisine. Bands will post recipes and photos of their meals to The Official Vans Warped Tour Community located on Buzznet.com so fans can see what goes on in the lively makeshift kitchens during mealtimes. A collection of the recipes and original photos will also be printed in a limited-edition recipe book that fans will be able to win through a contest hosted on Buzznet.com .
