SXSW: Nylon Party, Artery Foundation Party, Purevolume House

After a horrible flying experience, I finally landed in Austin, Texas late Wednesday night! After hopping off the plane & getting situated at our hotel, I headed straight to the Purevolume House!
The line for the Purevolume House was insane! Luckily I was able to skip pass line and make my way in. It was awesome to see a lot of familiar faces and check out Moby and Drop the Line perform! It was a wonderful start to what the week will entail!!

HAPPY ST. PATTYS DAY!
I started off my morning by heading to The Artery Foundation Showcase where I got to see Dance Gavin Dance, Chiodos, Sleeping With Sirens, Of Mice & Men, In Fear & Faith, For All Those Sleeping, Asking Alexandria and Woe Is Me tear up the stage! It was awesome to see the FATS guys play – they are some of my favorite people & performers! My friend Jenna introduced me to a few guys in Chiodos and Sleeping with Sirens, who also had a killer set! I also ran into my friend who does photography, Megan Thompson, as well as some people who work at Fearless Records.
Artery Foundation Showcase Celebrating St. Pattys Day!
After the Artery Party I started getting really hungry so headed to Jimmy John’s for THE FIRST TIME! I had heard all about this place from tons of people so I had to try it out! It was incredible, I am definitely going to have to go there again before the end of this trip!
Next, I headed off to The Nylon Magazine Party, which was at The W Hotel. There I got to see Ellie Goulding interview with the press about what’s next for her. I also ran into some people who work at Interscope Records, which I used to intern for. It is such a small world when you run into people that you haven’t seen in awhile. It made me miss interning there!

Once the Nylon Party ended, I had to go see this band called EMPIRES at a small hole in the wall bar. This band is absolutely incredible!! I strongly suggest checking them out!
After watching Empires, I headed over to Emos to check out The Metal Fest. There I got to see Motionless In White put on a KILLER performance. Every time I see MIW they always get the crowd going!
Since I was feeling very “Metal” I stopped by Death Metal Pizza to get a slice! SUPER DELICIOUS pizza — if you ever go to Austin I strongly suggest heading to this place!
Once I got my fix of pizza, I headed over to see COLD WAR KIDS at the Dickies Party. BEST PERFORMANCE AT SXSW!!!!!! So lucky that I got to see them, even if it was a through a fence!
To end the evening I headed over to the Purevolume House to watch The Bravery and Innerparty System with the Buzznet crew and other LA friends!
