Question of the Day: Have You Ever Experienced A Natural Disaster?

I can’t remember what time it was when I woke up last night. I looked at my phone and saw that there were a few texts and one of them was from my sister, asking if I had heard about what happened in Japan. Natually, I went to Twitter to find that Japan had been struck by a 8.9 magnitude earthquake. This resulted in some very powerful tsunamis inundating coastal areas of Japan.

This is totally incomprehensible to my brain. My thoughts are with all the people going through this and I know it’s going to be insane trying to get this country back to some sense of normalcy after all this devastation. I’ve been in earthquakes before but nothing like this. Hopefully I won’t, either.

I hope this question isn’t coming off as insensitive. I’m just curious to know if you’ve ever been in a natural disaster. Do you know anyone that has been in one? Are you prepared for one happening?
