The sonorities

If Schrei had Rette Mich, Zimmer 483 has Spring Nicht. Direct echo of the first, this song is a sad ballad, to make shiver. Built on a ternary rhythm that gives a weaving mark. It evokes since the beginning a sad and gloomy atmosphere, crowed with refrains (overall like the final one, how always happened with Tokio Hotel), jazzed up with guitars full of distortions. A great rock ballad for who loves black and prefers guitars to the piano and the lightness.

The message

The text contains a really deep message, a story about what you can prove in front of a dear person’s suicide tentative or your. How all the people who wants to take one’s own life, the person of the song wants leave a too much hard world to face for arrive in a place that should be better. But the teller is constricted to say him that this reasoning is a lie (a religious lie?), for to try to stop him to jump (“Die lichter fangen dich nicht, sie betrügen Dich. Spring nicht”, “The lights won’t take you, they deceiving you. Don’t jump”). Between the two protagonist of the song exist a strong link: love? Friendship? Maybe it’s a interior conflict: positive conscience fights against depression and suicide tendencies… (“Nimm meine hand wir fangen nochmal an”, “Take my hand, start us over”). A point of view enough melodramatic, but able to explain that, sometimes, it’s necessary hold the hand to someone for help him, before it’s too much late.

“The song’s theme is full of hope, it says: ‘Think to all the good things life can offers to you and keep hold to them until they are here” says Bill . Tom continues saying: “The suicide is a theme I’ve always wanted to talk in my texts. It’s so weird that, for a reason or another, you can lose the want to live”

The sonorities

Song enough related to Durch den Monsun: not among the most happy atmospheres, guitars part not so much energetic but there are acustic guitars, and the drums is one more time the protagonist. The refrain is one more time weighted in the details, ready to rock for hours public’s neurons, while the sung parts are more shy, for give a sense more deep to the words and a particular atmosphere for who listen the song. A little crescendo of emotions in the end with a violins background that at a some point become more pressing. An ethereal song (in the atmospheres) and solid (in the structure).

The message

Bill is just the “damned poet”… in this song he talks one more time of love, but in a extreme sense. It’s an adoration without limits what prove the protagonist of the song, so bold as to sacrifice his body and his soul for his object of worship. (“Ich sterbe für unsere unsterblichkeit”, “I’m dying for our immortality”). Ready for die but also to kill because, analyzing the text, there’s a quote (once again) a suicide scene and it’s easy to understand that the guy, in his madness, kill himself (in a psychologically way) for give to his lover the possibility to live a happy existence. A sort of Romeo and Juliet… Bill tells: “Heilig treats about that feeling that push us to leave everything for a person, to put us completely on the shelf and to do everything for the other. “Sacred” (Heilig) is the most exact word, because there’s nothing to compare with what is sacred”

The sonorities

The four Germans repeated million of times and overall Bill: he is a Green Day fan. So in this song it’s easy to find American Idiot’s influences and to think about Schrei album with punk atmospheres. The main guitar riff and the arrangement reminds American combo. The refrain with the fantastic chorus sung by Tom and Georg (sometimes also by Gustav) remember what Tokio Hotel do, one of the most talented band of their generation and able to find the perfect melodies and to hit the aim. A great mix of pure energy!

The message

A song with a disconnected text, like a feelings’ wave written in a jumble on the paper. Nothing better for describe Tokio Hotel’s mood, dip in the frenzy of their last tour. Because with this song Tokio Hotel thank all their fans, which made of the band that giant they are today. In the text, there’s an interesting part where Bill congrats with the most addicted fans, which know everything about their movements, in which hotel they are at the moment and when the band arrives at a tv studio or on stage (“Frag nicht. Alles ist geplannt. Das was mir morgen passiert wird”, “Don’t ask nothing, everything is already planned. What will happen to me tomorrow, it’s been already predicted by you yesterday”). A great act from the band for all the boys and the girls permitted to realize their dreams.
