John Stamos To Replace Charlie Sheen On ‘Two And A Half Men’?

After rumors started circulating last week that he would replace Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men, John Stamos quickily shot them down, tweeting “Contrary to the rumors, I am not replacing Charlie Sheen on ‘Two and a Half Men.’ However, Martin Sheen has asked me to be his son.”

Funny, John.

But now it looks like there just may be truth to those rumors, despite his denial. According to sources, head of CBS Les Moonves approached John at a benefit in Beverly Hills to chat with former Full House, sometimes Glee actor about possibly joining the network’s sitcom.

According to E! Online: “They were at the bar talking and Les asked John if he’d be interested in replacing Charlie. It wouldn’t be to play Charlie’s character but they talked more about introducing a new character.”

John as Dr. Carl on Glee. Yup, he’s still got his MOJO!

The conversation is said to have lasted about 15 minutes. It’s unclear if more formal conversations are set to take place, but a source reports that Moonves’ wife (talk show host Julie Chen)and Paramount Pictures CEO Brad Greyhad also piped in and in support. “They were all for it,” the source said. “They were saying how they think it could definitely work.”

Charlie Sheen was NOT amused, responding to the rumors via TMZ, saying“If they do that then they deserve their failures and the follies.”

Yikes! Bitter much?!

Would John Stamos make a good replacement for Charlie Sheen on the show? Who here actually watches Two and a Half Men?
