Buzznet’s Official Guide to the Best SXSW Parties
Starting today.. I will be here…
Reblogged from We’ve Got You Covered
SXSW 2011 is upon us, which means Austin, Texas, will become home to hundreds of bands, showcases, and parties that unofficially marks the beginning of music festival season. We’ve compiled a comprehensive list of Buzznet-approved happenings from massive events to bbqs.
First and foremost, if you’re going to be at SXSW, you are invited to Buzznet’s SXSW party, an all-ages all female-fronted band line-up at the PUREVOLUME house. On Friday, March 18th, indie darlings Eisley and Kitten play with The Sounds and our headliner Kerli, an Estonian pop artist and self-proclaimed ‘Queen of Bubblegoth.’ Sound like a weird mix? Good.
We are particularly excited to showcase a young band called The Indecent, who has been with Buzznet since their beginning. The Indecent is a grunge metal band comprised of four 16 year olds, three of whom are triplets. If you ever wanted to know what Kurt Cobain would sound like if he were a teenage girl, then lead singer Emily Brout is your answer.
