Taylor Swift Has Finally Met Her Match!

After years of writing songs and singing about past loves who just happen to be in the limelight (I’m talking about you Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner and John Mayer!), it’s high-time Taylor Swift met her match: Owl City‘s Adam Young.

Oh, how the tables have turned! As previously reported, Adam revealed he had a thing for Tay Tay’s love song, the sugary sweet “Love Story.”

Weeeeeelll… not one to withhold information, Taylor had admitted that her song “Enchanted” was about the moment she met a dude in NYC that she had been e-mailing back and forth with. And since she’s not shy about dropping MAJOR hints, she capitalized the letters A-D-A-M in her album’s lyric booklet and said she had used the word “wonderstruck” in the song – the subject of one of their e-mails. Adam realized the song was about him and posted his response on Owl City’s blog.

He writes:

Dearest Taylor,

I’ll be the first to admit I’m a rather shy boy and since music is the most eloquent form of communication I can muster, I decided to record something for you — as sort of a “reply” to the breathtaking song on your current record. This is what I wanted so badly to tell you in person but could never quite put into words:

Everything about you is beautiful. You’re an immensely charming girl with a wonderful heart and more grace and elegance than I know how to describe. You are a true princess from a dreamy fairy tale; a modern Cinderella. I’m terribly sorry it’s taken me such a long time to reply but I figured Valentine’s Day was the perfect time to write this note to you and simply say… I was enchanted to meet you too.

Love,Adam

How friggin’ (sickeningly) adorable is that?! Oh, what middle school dreams are made of. Le sigh.

Tay Tay, sister-friend, you need to scoop this fella up and do what you do best: write him back! Here’s what I suggest you write: “You’ll be the prince and I’ll be the princess. It’s a love story, baby just say yes.”

Whoops! She already wrote that one.

Do you think Adam Young belongs with Taylor? Should they get on his white horse, ride off into the sunset and live happily ever after?
