Sarah Jessica Parker Talks ‘Sex And The City 3’

Who’s ready for a third Sex And The City movie?!

… Are those crickets I hear? Too soon?

After the successful TV series, which lasted six seasons, and two blockbuster films, leading lady Sarah Jessica Parker revealed to the Los Angeles Times that a third movie installment isn’t out of the question.

“I would go back,” SJP revealed. “I think there’s one more story to tell. I know there is.”

The actress, who also executive produced the first two ‘SATC’ movies, thinks there is still life in the story of four best friends living in New York City. But it might have to wait a few years.

“I’d definitely tell that [third] story, and I know Michael [Patrick King, the director] would do it right. But maybe not now. Maybe in five years, you know?” she said.

Five years sounds good.

As for reports that the third flick could be a prequel – one which would cast Gossip Girl‘s Blake Lively as a young Carrie Bradshaw:

“I was like, ‘Wha-a-a-a-t?'” SJP said. “There are a lot of important and interesting stories that 21-year-olds can tell. I don’t begrudge any 21-year-old the opportunity to tell their stories. They prove to us on an everyday basis that they’re interesting. Even their narcissism is interesting. Even their inertia is interesting. Even their tonal speech patterns are interesting.”

“But I don’t think we can pretend to go back,” she added. “It’s creating two histories. It’s like, ‘Oh I didn’t know that about Carrie Bradshaw.'”

Are you ready for another Sex And The City movie or are you over it?
