New Blink-182 Album Set to Release This Summer

I’ve gotta confess, Blink-182 is one of those bands that really SOUNDS like summer to me. Maybe it’s because of listening to “What’s My Age Again” on repeat during at least one summer in high school, maybe it’s because I saw them live on one particularly hot night in August, I guess the reason doesn’t really matter.

What DOES matter is this: in summer 2011, we should have more Blink music to make memories too. Because the band’s new album, the first since 2003, will release this summer, as announced by Travis Barker on Twitter.

This was the original timeline fans had been given by Mark Hoppus in a blog post last November, however just this weekend Barker had claimed the album wouldn’t be out until late this year or early next year. It seems that the Hoppus estimate was correct, however, and we’ll be seeing new Blink on the shelves in mid-2011.

Okay, or more likely on iTunes. I know about you kids and your downloading.

Also is it just me or would “The Hoppus Estimate” be a really great name for a band? Just me? Okay.

Are you guys looking forward to the new Blink-182 album?
