‘Glee’ Cutie Darren Criss is OUT!
Er, ok not quite! The Glee cutie, however, is gracing the cover of Out Magazine with some very drool-worthy photos, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
As the ever-so-charming, confident, and openly gay Blaine (and possible love interest of Kurt on Glee), Darren Criss has won his way as an emerging gay icon, giving Out an exclusive interview where he talks about auditioning for Glee (he tried out 3 times), writing a musical that’s “The Little Mermaid-meets-Aliens,” and what is on the horizon for Blaine and Kurt.
As for the ultimate question: Is he or isn’t he? Darren confesses to the mag that he is indeed straight, but he sees it as a good thing.
“I think it’s more empowering to everybody, including myself, if I’m articulate about identifying myself as a straight male playing a gay character. Ultimately, that’s more powerful for both communities.”
