Corey Haim Snubbed In Oscars ‘In Memoriam’ Segment

Last night’s Oscars In Memoriam montage was a beautiful one: with Celine Dion crooning the tear-jerking Charlie Chaplin classic “Smile” (who doesn’t want to cry listening to Celine belt it out?!) and the lovely montage remembering Hollywood’s dearly departed over the past year… wait, it’s over? Where’s the slide for Corey Haim?!

Yo Oscars, where’s Corey Haim’s slide at?!

Turns out Corey Haim was neglected to be recognized in an In Memoriam segment yet again – he was also omitted from the SAG Awards segment last month. And this isn’t the first time the Oscars have gotten flack for not including an important deceased Hollywood star: at last year’s awards, the awards drew criticism for leaving out the beloved Farrah Fawcett from the montage.

OH NO THEY DIDN’T!

Corey Haim passed away March 10, 2010 after an accidental drug overdose at the age of 38. A teenage heartthrob in the 80’s, he is best known for his roles in Lucas, License to Drive and the cult-horror classic The Lost Boys.

Also left out of the In Memoriam montage: Peter Graves, star of CBS TV series Mission: Impossible and All In The Family and Laverne and Shirley star Betty Garrett.

How do you feel about Corey Haim being left out of the In Memoriam Oscars segment?
