Yet Another Punk Collection by Jean Paul Gaultier

Gaultier’s latest collection is full of mohawks, fishnets, and runway shenanigans. Punk aesthetics influenced a number of Spring 2011 RTW collections, and personally, I think the trend is tired and overwrought (ahem Balmain). Let’s take a break from the ripped garments, edgy hairdos and dog-collar chokers. Though Gaultier’s Spring 2011 RTW collection was also punk-inspired, it had a fresher feel to it what with the mixing of feminine, frilly fabrics and deconstructed silhouettes. His couture collection leaves a lot to be desired.
