Britney Spears’ New Song ‘Hold it Against Me’ is Basically About ‘EFF YOUR BAD VIBES, BRO’

The first single off Brit’s forthcoming album is supposed to drop tomorrow, 1/11/11, but you know how the internet is.

THE EVOLUTION OF BRITNEY SPEARS

You can listen to it here for the time being.

It was proded by hit-making machine Dr. Luke and Max Martin. What do you think of it? I’m not immediately crazy about it the way I was for “Womanizer” or “If U Seek Amy”, but it’ll probably grow on me the way “3” and “Gimmie More” did.

I like the double entendre — “if I say my heart was beating loud / if we could escape the crowd somehow / if I say I want your body now / would you hold it against me?”

I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE.

This will be Britney’s 7th studio album–and can I just say I’m really glad she’s back and in a better place, mentally? I’ve been cheering for her the whole time, because, well, it’s not nice to send negative vibes out into the world.

March is going to be an intense month for music!
