52 Weeks – A Blog About Projects
In the grand scheme of things, a year really isn’t that long. It’s how we humans count the time it takes for the Earth to circle around the Sun in this strange, oblong path. SCIENCE!
Keeping yourself busy for a year really isn’t that difficult. There are tons of things that you can do to pass the time. For most of us that have no souls anymore, there is this thing called “work.” I like to think of work as a device from the days of yore called a “candle snuffer” (they are still around but whatever). Work is the candle snuffer that extiguishes the flame of creativity. It puts an end to the burning flame of your hearts desire. It is often held by the hand of the bourgeoisie, as we, the proletariat burn the wick of our youth into a sticky wax that cannot be salvaged from the carpet of the world. Let’s not get into that.
52 Week Projects are nothing new to the world of the internet. According to my archived files of everything, ever, they pre-date AngleFire sites. Remember when it took you a week to make that bad ass gif of those flames that surrounded your name, written in courier sans, as it rotated endlessly in the ether? Well, you needed a way to show everyone how to do that. So you documented this and thus the “Whatever Amount Of Time Project” was born. Then, AOL came along and RUINED EVERYTHING.
If you haven’t noticed, Buzznet is full of all kinds of speshul sn0eflakes that have all the skills with the cameras. Heck, Buzznet is bursting at the seems with creativity. It’s like Buzznet went to Hometown Buffet with Yasi but only ate binary morsels with HREF gravy in jpeg form AND NEVER STOPPED. It’s still doing this. You all keep feeding the beast and um, WE LOVE IT.
Some of you here on the Buzznet have taken to sharing with us your lives. You do this wonderfully and to no end. It is what makes the gerbils in our hearts turn the wheel of emotion inside us.

PermanentJetLag is doing a 100 Themes Challenge. She is well underway but I’m sorry, SHE’S DRAWING 100 THINGS THAT ARE AWESOME. I mean look at this. She has lots of her art all over her Buzznet and it is a treat for you eyes.
