MERRY CHRISTMAS TO MOM & DAD
I went to visit the cemeteries today where my mom and dad are buried. Calverton National Cemetery is the largest National cemetery in the United States. There are over 220,000 men and women veterans and their spouses who are buried there. Since the last time I was there there are more large areas with new graves. It is quite an impressive cemetery with all the white headstones all in perfect rows. I always feel good leaving them their own wreaths that I decorate and a bag of birdseed and peanuts for the squirrels and scatter it around their graves. I also go to the cemetery where my sister-in-law is buried to leave her a wreath also. I do bring birdseed and peanuts also but because she was very afraid of birds I scatter it in another area not near her ~
