Amy Winehouse is still a singer. Despite the fact that much of her fame these days is from her tabloid-worthy antics, her primary function in this world is as a vocalist. And sometimes, without warning, we are reminded of that.

Take this for instance: Winehouse has covered “It’s My Party” by Lesley Gore, for an upcoming Quincy Jones tribute album. Take a listen:

In July, Amy also promised the world that her next album would be ready in about six months, and described it as containing “a lot of jukebox stuff.” In the meantime, she appeared in some shots for Fred Perry.
