Wave Goodbye (To Summer)

so mostly this summer was awesome. if you didn’t know, its now autumn or some such junk. summer never really took off this year in los angeles. most of the time, i felt like i was in an “Everyday Is Like Sunday” video. the skys were grey, it was often cool out, and that kind of weather is perfect for snuggles times (which for me involved my pillow and a well placed hand).

Anypoop, I continued my love affair with Northern California and nature (GOULET). The top two photos were snapped in Yosemite by PanasonicMark and me, respectively. Mostly we went there on whim because we are crazy. Normally, we don’t drive but this one time, I rented a car and was all HEY IVE NEVER SEEN A SEQUOIA FOREST OF GIANT ASS TREES LETS GO! We didn’t make it to the Giant Tree Forest but we went to Yosemite, which is like, awesome. It’s kind of like going to Mordor after you’ve just left the Shire except not as evil and way more pretty.

Also, it was 100 degrees F (38 C!) the entire time we went hiking so that was totes br00tal. On the drive out of the park, the temperature got to about 105 F (41 C), which was mostly hotter than two rats humping in a wool sock.

The bottom left photo is of my bike. That was after I took it to a car warsh in San Francisco. Yup. Some kids were having a car wash fundraiser. I had just treked across the Golden Gate Bridge so my bike needed a good cleaning. That was fun.

The bottom right photo was taken hiking some place in Pasadena, Ca. I don’t remember what the place was called because I’m getting old. Mostly I climbed up to the top of a giant hill that was all foggy and wound up in some pine tree forest of magic.

So that’s my summer in a nutshell mostly. I am still planning adventures and what have you, so here’s to what’s to come.

Also, when you are a big people, summer is just that time when I don’t have to dodge parents almost running me over in their cars near schools as they drop their childrens off and usually do illegal parking manoeuvres.

The end.
