Style Icon In The Making Natalia Kills Shows Us Her Dark Side

Whatever your opinion of Lady Gaga (and her meat dress), her presence in the pop world has reminded fans that there are pop stars out there who are more than scantily clad puppets: a new breed of mainstream musicians who write and produce their own music. Natalia Kills is one of these pop stars, or she’s about to be. The British born beauty reached #1 on the Myspace Music unsigned artist list in 2008 and was championed by early fan Perez Hilton before she was discovered by will.i.am and signed to his Interscope imprint in conjunction with Cherrytree Records (home to Robyn, Feist, and La Roux). Her unique style of “dark pop” earned her a spot opening for Kelis on her European tour, as well as supporting Robyn this winter. The multi-talented Kill co-writes her own music, and also produces and co-directs a mini-film series called Love Kills xx which airs on the Cherrytree website.

You can buy her single “Activate My Heart” on Itunes now.
