Keep Shoes x Animal Collective: Get Nice Shoes and Help the Environment Too
In other I-need-these-now-please-thanks news, cult shoe company Keep has teamed up with trippy-folk heros Animal Collective for a collaborative project benefiting the Socorro Island Conservation Fund. Starting today, a new shoe design will be revealed every week for a month and all profits from the project will be donated to the organization in order to help preserve the unique biosphere of the Revillagigedo Archipelago off Baja California. So basically all you have to do to help save some echinoderms (that’s starfish to you, commoner) is buy some awesome shoes. Unless of course you hate beautiful colorful coral and having art on your feet, in which case you can Socorro it. (See what I did there?)
First up in the collection is a show designed by AC’s Avey Tare, who took Keep’s classic Tobin shape and added his own hand-drawn illustrations to the natural canvas of the shoe. Bonus: all orders will include an unreleased tape of Animal Collective music!
