Fashion Icon: Kelis Tells Us What Inspires Her Style

In 1999 Harlem born chanteuse Kelis cooed at Ol’ Dirty Bastard on his hit song “Baby I Got Your Money,” and now, over ten years later, the recently under the radar singer has come back in a big way with her newest album, the futuristic multi-faceted “Flesh Tone”. Silencing critics and showing her immense talent, the genre-bending dance album is rife with all sorts of trance, disco, and bare-bones techno, with producers like David Guetta, Diplo, and Benny Benassi deftly showcasing Kelis’ rich molasses voice in one album long party.

We’re super excited to have the musical tour de force and perennial fashion icon (who can forget her Technicolor afro and latex jumpsuits?) talk fashion with Buzznet, because to us her milkshake will ALWAYS bring the boys to the yard. (That makes sense in my head, ok?)
