MAC Goes Wonder Woman! (Can We Have ALL The Ladies of DC Comics Please?)
1This year is the 75th Anniversary of DC comics. And, last month, DC comics published the 600th issue of Wonder Woman.
So, this is pretty much the prime time for MAC to release a Wonder Woman cosmetic line.
The line, which has been announced but will not release until Spring of 2011, is apparently being kept as secret as Wonder Woman’s civilian identity. We do know that prices are going to run from $13 to $49.50, and that there will be eye shadow, lipstick, blush and nail polish.
Now, I think this is kinda AWESOME. But at the same time, I am greedy and want more. I’ve in the past talked about wanting a full “Women of DC” line of make-up, and I think right now would have been ideal for that. Of course you can have a lot of WW inspired stuff, but also products for Batgirl, Supergirl, Black Canary, Huntress, Vixen, Catwoman and more of the powerful ladies of the DC Universe.
No matter what, I’m going to be watching and waiting for news on the Wonder Woman products. And maybe seeing this as an opening for my Ladies of DC idea. Whadday say, MAC?
