Snoop Dogg Releases ‘True Blood’ Song and Video

Earlier this week I talked about the return of True Blood. I also talked about Snoop Dogg appearing in Katy Perry’s video for “California Gurls.”

But I’m sure there was at least ONE person out there going “Gee, Ashly, wouldn’t it be great if we could combine those two things?”

Well…that person got what they asked for. Because HBO.com has unleashed a video featuring Snoop Dogg performing a song dedicated to the new woman who has won his heart: Sookie Stackhouse.

In “Oh Sookie,” Snoop raps about how he would love to get into bed with the mind-reading, vampire banging waitress from Bon Temps, LA. The song is filled with nods to the show, referencing characters like Bill Compton, Eric Northman and Jason Stackhouse as well as places like Merlotte’s bar and grill.

But the song isn’t enough, oh no. You have to witness the video which combines footage from the hit HBO show with Snoop rapping while surrounded by dancers dressed like Sookie Stackhouse in her Merlotte’s uniform.

I cannot make stuff like this up, folks, and you know it.

I have to believe this whole thing is MEANT to be utterly ridiculous. Because it is the only way I can maintain my faith in humanity.

And vampires.

And shapeshifters.
