LA Twestival + Metric

Last night at The Roxy, it was total twitter-geekdom heaven. Los Angeles was just one of 175 cities to host the charity festival TWESTIVAL, raising dough for an international humanitarian organization that transforms the lives of the world’s poorest, most marginalized children through access to education.

METRIC was there to support the cause, playing “Gold Guns Girls” and “Gimmie Sympathy”. GOD I LOVE THEM.

Also impressive was DJ Mike Helm, who made mixes out of The Peanuts and Office Space (no joke) and ended his set with “Imagine.” I don’t even dance and I was soaking that badassery up.

They had a stream of all tweets that were hashtagged #twestival, so between myself, Buzznet and Mallory, we kept it up just to see ourselves on the screen. Hah.

Mmmm, popchips…
