Pete Wentz Nominated as a “Celeb Gone Good”

Pete Wentz‘s social activism is hardly a secret. Between his work with Invisible Children, his outspoken political support for President Barack Obama during last year’s presidential election and contributing to Half of Us, a site which deals with depression and suicide, Wentz has definitely used his fame to help promote and raise money and awareness for his causes.

And now, that hard work is being recognized by Do Something.org. Because Pete is nominated as a possible member of their “20 Celebs Gone Good.”

Pete made the cut of the top 100 celebs currently listed on the voting site, along with other names such as Bono, Bruce Springsteen, Pink, Neil Patrick Harris, Nicole Kidman, Darryl Hannah and more. His brief bio on the site reads “In the past, Pete has worked on issues like suicide prevention. This year he took it to an international level, fighting for child soldiers in Uganda by teaming up with Invisible Children and their “Rescue” campaign.”
