Cash Colligan: Back in Action

Fans were both saddened and stunned when Cash Colligan, bassist and co-founder of The Cab, announced he was leaving the band to pursue other opportunities. He’s stayed active, continuing to manage his restaurant, broadcasting via his StickAM site, hanging out with fellow former Cab member Ian Crawford and Tweeting. A lot.

But now, fans who wanted more musically from Cash can cheer. Because it was announced today that Cash is the new bassist for Las Vegas band Play for Keeps. The announcement was made on Play for Keeps’ new Myspace page and was also announced on Absolute Punk.

Cash joins the line up which also features Cameron Dettman, Brian Jones, and Chris Bryant of former local band Hitting on Hannah. The band claims their sound “draws their influences from across the board; anything from blues to 90’s pop is fair game.” They currently have three songs on their Myspace for fans and potential fans alike.
