Giraffe Week!

Hello all cats and caterpillars. I’m going to be doing a new lame thing on here where each week I post a journal with themes. It will be different each week, sometimes it will be just pictures, sometimes I’ll write, but it will always keep you entertained for the few minutes it takes to browse the journal, and it will almost always be about fashion.

This week is All Things Giraffe!

So let’s get started into Giraffe Week.

Giraffes are lovely creatures. Kind of funny looking, but lovely all the same. With their long necks and their disgustingly large tongues, they’re kind of irresistable. They’re obviously the tallest land-living animal and can weigh up to 2,630 lbs. Imagine carrying one of those on your back. The coolest thing about them is that they usually sleep only 1.9 hours a day. That is my kind of animal! I’ve only had one encounter with a giraffe, and must admit that it creeped me out because it was so big. But, if I ever come across one again, I’ll be sure to hug it.

Giraffes have a big part in fashion. You’ll find them on lots of t-shirts, their coat pattern on lots of shoes and purses. Let’s have a look.

I found this on eBay and I kind of want it.

Giraffe shoes!

Looks pretty comfortable to me.

I’m SO SICK of seeing these, but here is a Giraffe purse.

….Giraffe socks…

A Giraffe hat (don’t wear this to a wedding)

Can’t think of anything to be for Halloween? Here’s your solution! Be a Giraffe of course!!!! (nice shoes…)

Lots of celebrities like Giraffes, too.

Lindsay Lohan was caught sporting this shirt. I think it would look better on me, but I like her purse.

Harlow Madden likes to eat Giraffes. I guess that counts.

Suri Cruise likes to use Giraffes as a pillow for her baby dolls.

Paris Hilton likes Giraffes.. but who really cares?

This is definitely not a Giraffe, but it came up under my Giraffe search.

Giraffes can also be found in paintings, such as the famous painting of a giraffe which was taken from Somolia to China in 1414.

Here is the (RATHER LARGE) giraffe painting itself.

In Japan, Taiwan, and Korea, giraffes are called Qilin.. or something like that.

Fact: The longer you look at the word “Giraffe”, the stranger it looks. Now I’m questioning the spelling on it.

There you have it. Giraffe week. Enjoy your Giraffes and have a beautiful week.
