Regina Spektor Builds Up Anticipation For “Far” Release
In the category of things I’m anticipating so much that I could pee myself is the release of Regina Spektor’s latest CD, Far. June 23rd it will be in my posession. And I will worship it. And play it obsessively while I frolic through fields of flowers and eat cake and jump on beds. Because all of that seems appropriate.
Anyway, the whimsical Ms. Spektor has a lot on her calendar for the month of June, which include performances on Good Morning America and The Late Show.
Everything Regina’s been doing and will do in the near future, in bullet point fashion:
- Performing “Laughing With” on Good Morning America on release day (6/23)
- And again on The Late Show with David Letterman on June 26th
- Will have 2 songs (“Us” and “Hero”) on the 500 Days Of Summer soundtrack
- She has spoken out against Prop 8, and happily allowed advocay group Courage Campaign to use “Fidelity” in their awareness videos
- She is releasing viral videos for each song, and three of them (“Eet,” “Laughing With,” and “Dance Anthem of the 80’s”) are viewable on her MySpace RIGHT NOW!
