Chasing Shadows……Chapter Twenty-Four

A few hours later:

Jared drops Gabrielle off at her apartment with the promise that he’ll call her later to see what they want to do tomorrow and what the word will be with the guys.

As Gabrielle walks in the door, she sees a distressed Emily pacing back and forth in the living room.

“Hey M, what’s up? She asks her as he puts her purse away.

“Well, Shannon just called, and it looks like we’ve got caught in the same problem you and Jared are in” Emily says now ringing her hands.

“Oh, well I’ve got good news! But, sit down and chill first ok” Gabrielle says now taking Emily’s hands and sitting her down.

Then she tells her about hers and Jared talk at the dinner.

“So he liked the idea?” Emily says to her hopefully.

“Yeah! He said that he is going to talk to the guys tonight about us coming with them, he says most likely they will loved the idea!” Gabrielle says cheery.

Then Emily goes off about what they might do with them and all and how fun it will be, while Gabrielle just nods her head and listens.

After an hour, Jared finally calls.

“Hey Jared, so what’s the word?” Gabrielle says to him the second she picks up the phone.

“Well, I told them, but they want to have a meeting with you two” Jared says, seemingly in a very happy mood. “Meeting with us?” Gabrielle mutters confused.

“Yeah, and don’t worry, their just messing around, they just want to say yes with you two right there. Their really hyped about the idea, but their nuts, what can I say” Jared explains in a now softer voice, as if trying to talk without being overheard.

“Oh! Ok then that’s cool. So, at the café?” Gabrielle then says.

“Yep, around, two good?” Jared asks.

“Sounds good to me, will tell M now” Gabrielle says.

“Ok, see ya then!”

“Ok bye!”

“Bye and goodnight!”

“Night!”

And then the two hang up.

“Well?!” Emily says to her bursting.

“They want to have a meeting with us before they make up their minds” Gabrielle says trying to hide a smile. “Meeting? What the hell for?! They know us pretty well now!” Emily says with her face now turning red.

“Oh chill it, Jared told me their just messing around, but their hyped about the idea!” Gabrielle says.

“Oh! Awesome! So when is this “meeting”?” Emily then says chilling out now.

“At the café down the street at two” Gabrielle then says.

“Ok, that wont be a prob, since we don’t have work now, again” Emily says laughing.

Gabrielle laughs to and then the two have coffee and talk some more.

Then around one in the morning they head to bed.

Once they take their showers and get settled into their beds, both can’t sleep, being to hyper about tomorrow and the idea on going on tour with the guys to sleep.
