Metro Station Lose Their Festival Virginity

[cut]

IRVINE, California – Synth-lovin’ wunderkids Metro Station are a band on the rise. Buzznet got a chance to have a quick chat with them after their performance at Bamboozle Left.

After having some location issues (it was so loud everywhere we went!), we all squeezed into the backroom of their tour bus, and the darling Ashlee Lauren played camera-girl. Bamboozle Left was the bandmembers’ very FIRST festival experience, and they talked about how well things are going for them.

“It’s never worked this well,” Blake Healy commented, referring to the other bands he’s been in.

Hailing from Hollywood, Trace Cyrus (who started the band with Mason Musso) commented that they’re relatively newcomers to the scene. “I think that’s why it works,” drummer Anthony Improgo reasoned. “We’re in the friendship phase.”

“It’s not like we were friends who decided to start a band — we’re in this because we all want to make music and we all love pop music.”

They also defended their dancing skills, their haircuts, and… Taylor Swift?

More Metro Station goodness:

The band is currently playing the Bamboozle Road Show and afterward will join Forever the Sickest Kids‘ headlining tour, which kicks off in May.
