Hayley Williams: ‘I don’t think I would ever listen to our band’

[cut]
Hayley Williams is so cute when she’s embracing her inner hillbilly. In this outtake from an interview with Rolling Stone, she talks about guns—she wants a “little revolver” and used to own a BB gun— and how she hangs out with her brother and shoots targets to relax. So, you know, cute in that “don’t mess” sort of way. Ha!

Maybe a little more surprising is that she said she’s not really into any contemporary female-fronted acts or chick vocalists—and that she doesn’t even think she’d be into her own band if it wasn’t for the music or melodies!

Wha? Didn’t she get the memo that Paramore is the new No Doubt? And that she’s Gwen Stefani 2.0? Yeah yeah, I know—PARAMORE IS A BAND. And I love the Farro bros and Jeremy Davis just as I love Tony Kanal, Adrian Young and Tom Dumont. But I’m telling you, it’s inevitable. Together they make musical magic, yes, but Hayley alone is a powerhouse of personality and you can make all the shirts you want, but little girls are still going to want to be her.

Oh, and she likes Eisley. Which is led by the DuPree sisters. Hey, that’s female vocal…. oh, never mind.
