I AM KIND OF TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH IT.
Look, I’ll be completely honest with you– I am not Panic’s #1 fan. I’m not even fan #436. I don’t rank. I’ve had on-again, off-again affairs with “Lying is the most fun,” “Build God,” and “I constantly thank God for Esteban.” I like to objectify them now and again, because, hey, they’re cute.
Most of the time I felt like Panic at the Disco’s music (first album) is like a friend I’m into hanging out with, but maybe talks too much and it exhausts me a bit if I can’t match that energy level.
But Nine in the Afternoon? It’s like auditory narcotics! I’m not effing around here folks, it makes me THAT happy. Top quality FEEL GOOD music! It’s like the 2008 version of “Walking on Sunshine” or something.
Please, even if you’re not a Panic fan, give it a listen.
