January 7th 2007, Fall Out Boy brought the Friends Or Enimies tour into the Sunshine Theater in Albuquerque, NM along with New Found Glory, The Early November, and Permanent Me. At the end of their set during 'Saturday', they started letting people onstage. Security didn't want anymore ppl on stage. A roadie (and comrade) of FOB's was still letting ppl on. That must have pissed off a certain securty guard enough to attack the roadie and bring him offstage and grapple with him. Pete took offense and dropped the mic, jumped offstage and started beating the shit outta that security guard. After the pummel, Pete got back onsatge, grabbed the mic and stated, "That's what you get when you fuck with my friends...fuckin' asshole!" then the band left...
"about tonight in new mexico. the whole night was amzing right down to the very end. everyone was going off for all of the bands and it made me so excited that our fans give the other bands we bring out a chance (or are just plain fans of them)... our set was going great- when we got to the end we decided to bring some fans on stage to dance with us for saturday- its something we always used to do. it was a blast. the whole night some of the security was doing a great job but we watched alot of kids falling- this is why we bring out some personal security. they went into the barricade and helped kids over- we want it to be as safe as possible. so during saturday one of the security guys grabbed a kid way too rough- both i and charlie yelled at him to let go of the kid. instead, he lunged at charlie and i and all of our crew came to his defense. noone ended up hurt, just some cuts and bruises. but we were asked to leave before the meet and greet could happen. we will make it up to you. we will be doing something special for the ocks there- and everyone who pre-ordered the cd will still recieve an autographed copy.
the best part was afterwards.... i just wanted to explain to the crowd that this only happened because they fucked with our friends- and all of our fans and friends got behind us. it gave me chills just to know that you guys have our backs. and hopefully for those who were there and saw it you know that i and we have yours. forever. im not gonna watch some kid get manhandled by some security guard twice his size. im really proud of you guys for how you handled it and for being understanding when we werent allowed to do the meet and greet..."
Yeah if you watch closely in the backround you see the ecurity in the backround you cant really tell what hes doing but it looks like he hits someone then it looks like the other guy says something to him then the security guy pushed the other guy which started a fight.
