TV: Back in the Day: Bonk's AdventureI have always been a fan of video games in which you play as a unique character. Sonic The Hedgehog and Mario are the two that probably come into your mind first. However, this entry is devoted to the underdog: Bonk from Bonk’s Adventure.
Bonk’s Adventure was first released in 1990 on a now defunct game system called TurboGrafx-16. He is best described as a bald caveman with a large head. Headbutting his enemies was his best move. Other Bonk games were released through the years for different game systems and a Bonk arcade game was released in 1994, although he never really received the popularity he deserved. As of recent, the original Bonk’s Adventure has been released on Wii’s Virtual Console and I suggest you give it a chance. Here is the original Bonk commercial.
