The Veronicas Love Paramore, Britney Spears - but Not Pete WentzThe Veronicas are accustomed to releasing multiplatinum albums and selling out arenas in their native Australia ... so you can imagine the excitement behind having the identical twins stop by DJ Rossstar's tiny apartment in Los Angeles for a radio interview.
![]() "DJ Rossstar's Punk Rock Show" listeners bombarded Lisa Origliasso with questions about her ex-boyfriend Ryan Cabrera and beyond. One listener mentioned Cabrera's (and new girlfriend Riley Keough's) attendance at The Veronicas' recent show in West Hollywood, California — strange that they'd show up there, no? Apparently not. "They're really good friends [of ours]," Lisa said. "We stay in touch and there are no hard feelings at all. I wrote a song about it, and I got over it." She was referring to "Revenge Is Sweeter (Than You Ever Were)," which bears the lyrics, "And you're on the way down. I can't wait to see you burn." Note: Lisa sings the words "on the way down" in the same melody that Cabrera does on his 2004 song of the same name. "No!!! Just not our type," shouted Lisa and Jess, who was accompanied by her boyfriend, The Follow singer Azaria. So what DO The Veronicas like? "We LOVE Paramore," Lisa revealed. "We love chicks that rock out." Moreover, the ladies even love Britney Spears' new record, which they said they were rocking out to on the way to the radio show. Anyone who caught the sisters' show at the Roxy can attest to how well Lisa and Jess treat their fans — during the show, they wooed onto the stage a 16-year-old fan named Daniel who had written the twins a "sweet" letter they received prior to showtime. Daniel was likely embarrassed by the move, and embarrassment is something The Veronicas are very familiar with. They opened up about some of the antics their mom does to embarrass them regularly.
