Thanks to Buzznet, I was able to attend the Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour @ Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, NY. It was a great show. I got there a little late thanks to traffic on the Southern Parkway, but only missed the first band.
First things first, what I thought was awesome is that there were a few J-Rock (Japanese rock) bands on the tour:
MUCC

D'espairsray

and The Underneath

I used to be hugeeee into J-Rock in middle school, particularly a band called L'Arc~en~Ciel. No one I knew even knew about J-Rock, much less was even remotely interested in it. So it's f---ing sweet that it's getting widespread American promotion. Good job Rockstar!
Moving on...
Idiot Pilot

I don't even remember their set so either they didn't play or they really sucked and I went outside to smoke haha.
Bullet For My Valentine

I NEVER liked this band until I saw them live last night. They have loads of energy, ear-splitting guitar solos and cute little British accents haha. My apologies for never giving you boys a chance. ;]
Blessthefall

Blessthefall were the main reason I was psyched to go see this tour, but they were only given the smallest section of the stage to play on. My seats were not the greatest, so I couldn't see sh--. I thought they wouldn't let me bring a camera in so I left it in the car like an idiot, only to find out you could have a camera if it wasn't deemed 'professional quality.' So I squinted and strained to see these guys and I actually wasn't very impressed. They weren't nearly as heavy as they were last year and their live show was slightly, dare I say... boring?? I'm gonna guess it's due to the fact that they had a 10x10 ft space to move around in so I'll definitely need to check them out again before I make any solid judgement call. I still love ya guys!
Atreyu

Atreyu are easily my favorite band that played all night. I was super stoked that they played old favorites like "Ex's and Oh's" and "Bleeding Mascara", seeing as the new stuff is a little generic rockish. If I closed my eyes and listened to Lead Sails Paper Anchor, I wouldn't have a clue it was Atreyu. They stole the show last night though. <3
Avenged Sevenfold

My old favorite band... gotta say not so much anymore though. Zacky Vengeance is still holdin' it down old school. I've always had nothing but love for him. ;] But M. Shadows paraded around like he was Steven Tyler or Scott Weiland or something. Not so brutal. I liked that they were really patriotic though. That was unexpected. I've never been a patriotic person so to speak, but I have a few close friends in the Army and the Marines, so I wanna see all the support for the troops this country can muster up. Let's bring 'em all home alive and in one piece. Sorry...tangent. Anwyays, the pyrotechnics were kinda cool, I jumped outta my seat the first time they went off, not gonna lie haha.
Overall I'd say the Taste of Chaos tour is worth going out to see. I had a good time and judging by the energy still leftover at the end of the show everyone else there did too... or maybe that was just from all the free Rockstar Energy Drinks. ;] Definitely catch this tour guys.

Johnnynotsid also attended Taste of Chaos in Virginia and
wrote a great review of her own.

I want to go so bad because I love Atreyu, Bullet For My Valentine, and Blessthefall. But I don't think it is coming anywhere near where I live so reading the reviews makes me sad but it's also comforting to know that their performances were good. :)
