If John O' Was Having A Baby, He Would Play His Own Music For His Kid
Father's Day is just around the corner and we want you all to be as prepared as possible. Well, we at least want you to feel like you know the relationship between some of your favorite band members and their fathers. John O' Callaghan (vocalist) of The Maine has a prepared delivery method on how he will tell his kids when he is mad or dissapointed.

Buzznet: What's the last thing you remember your Dad getting mad at you for?
John O': The last thing I can vividly remember my father being perturbed by, would be when I received my first "F" in school. It was my first semester in college, so my mind really wasn't at school (needless to say). I prepared myself for "the talk," but nothing can prepare you for the whole, "I'm not so much mad, as I am disappointed in you" talks. Life goes on, I'm still alive, and he's not as mad anymore.
Buzznet: What is something you think you will have to worry about with your kids that your dad didn't worry about with you?
John O': Crystal Meth. The youth of tomorrow will face more severe cases of peer pressure, and will have to make the inevitable decision that could possibly "meth" their lives up indefinitely. On a serious note, I feel like I will have to monitor the amount of time my children are spending on the computer, television, and other brain-rotting electronic devices.
Buzznet: What music did you grow up on as an influence of your dad?
John O': I grew up on everything from Steely Dan to Phish. My dad is a huge music buff, and to this day continues to introduce me to "new" music. We share a lot of musical tastes, and actually got to go see Wilco play in Milwaukee two summers ago which was rad for the both of us.
Buzznet: What is something you know your dad would say yes to that your mom would say no to?
John O': If I were to ask my mom to go a strip club, I don't think she'd be down. I'm pretty damn sure my dad wouldn't be down either, but I'd feel more comfortable asking him. * I don't condone the exploitation of women in any way. And for the record, I've never been to a strip club.
Buzznet: If you had a baby now what music would you play for your kid?
John O': EFFFFF having a baby now. But hypothetically speaking, if I had a baby, I'd play him/her my jams. They don't have to like it, plus they wouldn't know the difference because they're children.

For now John is going to lay off having kids and just stick to having fans and friends.

Be sure that you are John's friend on Buzznet. Also, read Pat Kirch's interview with Buzznet about him and his father.
