So seriously, how come you haven't uploaded a video to our insanely easy Skittles contest? Did you know that all videos you upload to Buzznet are now immediately live? Did you know you can know videoblog instantaneously to Buzznet? Where have you been???

Seriously, it's about time I did a journal updating y'all about what's going on 'round the world of Buzznet. It doesn't happen enough!

So, you may have seen our brightly colored orange homepage last week. (It's coming back.) Now, I'm not one to harken attention to corporate-sponsored contests and takeovers, but I've been overseeing the Skittles Get Down To The Core contest we're running and, as usual, I'm blown away by the creativity you guys have.

In just 2 minutes or less per video, a handful of Buzznet members have shared the one thing in their life that would surprise even their closest friends. And if it wasn't for this contest I wouldn't know the following things:

1) Emily (swingthefocus11) can make those awesome dollar bill rings I always wanted in elementary school:


2) Tara Ashlee (foblover16) thinks cars have faces. (OMG SO DO I.)


3) Marialia loves making beats on her Mac!


4) AndeeCupcake loves leaving notes around her house and office for people to find.
 
5) KatieJRod wishes her life was a musical....so she SINGS HER ENTIRE VIDEO. Swoon!

AMAZING.

EDIT: I've just been informed by Buzzmob King El Rich that he's running a Buzzmob mission based on the Skittles contest! Get into it!

To make things easier, Buzznet no longer has that pesky lag in videos. Once your video file is on the server, it's live. 100% live. (It's about time, frankly.) So you can upload to your heart's content and not have to wait for the moderators to approve the video. Yes, it's true: we love you guys.

AND THEN ON TOP OF THAT: We (finally!) have a video blogging tool!


 Whenever you go to upload a video, there's a third option now for webcams. If you have a USB webcam or if you've got a Mac with a built in camera, you can record a video blog which directly uploads to Buzznet when you're done. Yeah, it's that easy.
