henever I go somewhere where there is a famous landmark or a place that is special to me, I go up to it and, if it is possible, I knock on it. Just to touch it and this is a tactile way of knowing that it is real... that I'm there... that these things are there... that they exist...

All I can say is that I pray for those that lost their lives at the WTC, the Pentagon and Flight 93. and their families and friends....

The above taken on my last trip to NYC when the towers were still there.

I also added, but the Buzznet stripped for some reason... that I pray for everyone above and also all of those innocent people (in Iraq and Afghanistan) and our soldiers. The loss of life since the war on terror began after the events of 9/11...It all seems so surreal..and yet all too real.

Having been there more than once over the years, having visited with clients there, having eaten in the Top of the World restaurant, having seen the story of NYC told through the displays and enormous murals on display, having taken the final escalator to the observation deck at the top, I remember as well.

Can still remember touching the railings, the surfaces, amazed at the grandeur of ther Towers, the vision of those who designed it and built it... too much, and it's all gone.
