crappy haiku movie review of the week - independence day
as we all know, there's no shortage of movie review sites out there on the web. but who among us hasn't longed for movie reviews in the form of really crappily done japanese poetry? i know i sure have!
so once a week, i'll be dedicating a journal entry to a movie review in the form of a really crappy haiku.
this week's movie was such a huge success that a mega-blockbuster sequel, titled thanksgiving day, is in the works. the plot will be as follows: once again, earth is invaded by aliens. once again, major cities are destroyed. and once again, a small band of brave humans fight back against the evil extraterrestrials. however this time, instead of using nuclear weapons and computer viruses to battle the aliens, the humans do something much, much worse...they invite the aliens to thanksgiving dinner! that's right, and after sitting through an hour of mom and dad arguing over whose mother makes better potato salad, aunt becky getting drunk in the corner, and uncle wally telling inappropriate jokes about various bodily functions, the invaders flee, horrified, into the vastness of space, vowing never to go anywhere near earth ever, ever again.
- it's independence day!

independence day
space douchebags invade
blowing up various stuff
will smith punches one
the end
p.s. feel free to hit me up with any suggestions, and you might just get to see one of your favorite movies summed up in a really crappy haiku...

Here's a couple of requests of my own...that is, if you saw the movies already? I hope I'm not suggesting any that were already done. It's 3 a.m. and my head feels like a bowling ball, you'll cut me some slack, right? :D

- Weird Science
- Animal House
- The Butterfly Effect
- Office Space
- Mean Girls
- Revenge Of The Nerds
i already did requiem and mean girls though. they're floating around somewhere in my journal archives.
