This badger was just lying in the lane yesterday morning - not a mark on it, but dead . It must have been hit by a car. I think Hovis was expecting it to leap at him.
OH that's sad, I wouldn't be surprised if Hovis wanted to be friends with the badger.......Does someone remove them or do they just lay there ? Our town is very good at removing dead animals from the roads : ]

Its on the lane up to the church - I think it was the people who live there who killed it - accidently. I was hoping they would have moved it today but if it's still there tomorrow I will ring the council and ask if they will take it - otherwise the lane is going to get very very smelly!
oh dear poor dead badger. he won't be doing the badger badger badger dance anytime soon.
this reminds me of the time when my English cousins (who have a French mother and an Irish father yet are "painfully English" as my grandmother called them) came to Canada, and as we were driving them from the airport we passed a dead skunk (a very stinky animal) and they were so curious that we stopped the car and poked at the body for a bit.
