A Gourmet Chef I am Not........

Hi guys,

Just a quick little post today, responding to a question that keeps coming up...

"Do You Cook?"

or

"What's Your Favorite Thing to Cook?.....Your Specialty?......Your Secret Recipe?"...you get the idea.   Perhaps people are interested because the holidays are right around the corner or maybe I just have the Gourmet Chef look...not quite sure, but what I can say with 100% certainty is that I'm no Rachel Ray and Emeril does not need to worry ;-)

I would love to learn to cook, however, and WILL take classes sometime soon.

In the meantime, for all of you who are challenged in the kitchen like I am, here's a recipe I can share with you --

ICE. Freeze water.

But definitely ask me again in a few months after I start taking my cooking classes!

xoxo

p.s. Southland Tales opens this Friday...I'm going to see it...are you??

November Already.....Wow How Time Flies!!

Hey everyone....

Happy Fall!  Sorry I haven't written in a while.  I actually took a little vacation and got some much needed r&r after the tour.  I even left the laptop at home if you can believe it.

While I was away I was thinking about things I love....and what I wouldn't be able to live without.  One of my friends and I got on the subject of food and she asked me if I had to pick only 5 things to eat or drink for an entire year what would they be....I thought for a second and then realized I could be happy for an entire year with only 3 things...

Sashimi, Almonds and Green Tea would be all I need.  Japanese food is by far my favorite.  I could definitely eat it every day.

What would be on your list?

So, I hope you guys check out Southland Tales -- it opens in theatres next week.  I included a little preview below in case you haven't seen it yet.  I play Madeline Frost-Santros -- Dwayne's wife.  The movie has such a great cast.  Even Justin Timberlake is in it.  The soundtrack has some really good songs on it too -- especially if you're a Moby fan!!  I think it comes out today actually.

Which brings me to my next question....if you were put in charge of making the perfect movie soundtrack what 12 songs would choose?

I'll be back later to check out your lists.  Talk to ya soon!

xoxo

5 Songs I Can't Live Without!!

Hi Hi Hi,

We're in Albany now....playing tonight at the Sawyer Theatre.  Any of you coming out for the show?  We've been on tour for a while now and it's been so much fun!!  But as you can imagine we've spent  ALOT of time on the bus.

Here are 5 of my favorite songs that we've been listening to over and over ..... and over again on the bus...and of course singing along to at the top of our lungs.  Our driver's probably about ready to strangle us ;)

JEFF BUCKLEY "LAST GOODBYE"

LORI MCKENNA "ONE MAN"

RACHAEL YAMAGATA "ELEPHANT"

JONI MITCHELL "FREE MAN IN PARIS"

WATERBOYS "WHOLE OF THE MOON"

BTW....I was so impressed with how many of you turned in your "FAVORITES" lists that here's homework assignment #2 --

If you were on a bus driving cross country, what would your 5 "MUST HAVE" songs be?

Post your lists as a comment and I promise I'll be checking back in after the show tonight!  I'm in need of some new tunes for my ipod, so I can't wait to see what songs you LURVE.......

xo

Check back soon to see my interview in which Mandy also discusses her favorite chick flicks and profiles she's looked at on Buzznet!

Mandy Moore To Play More Shows

Mandy Moore has been been making movies for the past few years but with the release of a new album, Wild Hope, on June 19th 2007, she hopes to be able to tour in support of it.

Moore told Billboard, "We're already doing some fun, acoustic shows. I think as the record comes out we're going to do some showcases in bigger cities across the country.  It's just fun to finally be singing my own music and have the band up there. It's a completely different experience."

Wild Hope will be the first album in which Moore helped co-write the songs and it is said to be more mature and singer/songwriter based rather than just hit after hit pop songs.

For older fans that are wondering if she will play her old pop hit Candy, Moore reveals, "Well, we've done 'Candy' a couple times with the band.  We have this, like, Stones-y version of it, and that's kind of fun to do, so maybe we'll incorporate that into the set."

Moore has made up her mind that she will tour this fall and would only back out if the right movie role came about.
