Unbelievable orange sky! Unedited photo! Seen from North Vancouver.
Weirdest weather EVER tonight. it was a lovely sunny day up until about 7pm, when the air began to feel a little heavy. Five minutes later, epic downpour. The rain tapered off after a short time and the dark clouds rolled in. Then the thunder, subtle at first ... then lightning. LOTS of lightning. Like a huge bolt every 30 seconds. I was in the car by then, and we could see lightning striking over and over ahead of us. While we were crossing the Ironworkers' Memorial bridge, there was another downpour ... and by the time we got to my friend's place, the sky was bright yellow. Then it faded to orange (see above), then magenta with a purple fringe. Unbelievable.

there's much much more! it seems everyone in Van had their digicams out at the first sign of lightning. behold!
