September 15, 2009If London's Calling, Don't You Dare Pick Up the PhoneI felt like I needed to do a journal. I am trying to not go too long without posting them, or I will totally forget and never post any again haha. On Labor Day my mom and I went to a local craft show. A lot of the stuff there was really cool, but really expensive. It was like $50 for an acrylic ring that I could probably get from Claire's for $2. But I guess the amount of actual craftmanship that went into it pays, haha. I was going to get this reallyy cute pair of armwarmers. They weren't goth or anything. They were like, wool, and really adorable. But once again, out of my budget! D: So.. the VMAs, huh? That Kanye West, right? Music has not been good to me lately. I downloaded 5 free songs that I was able to get through this special promotion when I bought a junk drive a few days ago. I was ripped off because when I bought Lady Gaga's LoveGame it turned out to be a lame remix, and the Yeah Yeah Yeah's Maps turned out to be the live version.. luckily they sound as good live. I basically just saw Audrey Kitching's post on here about Avril Lavigne's new clothing line. Why does she even make clothing? What does she even know about fashion when she used to wear cargo pants and tank tops? I am sorry, I felt the need to rant. xD I wish I were going to see Breathe Carolina this Sunday night. Apparently I am not allowed to go to shows on school nights. Which means I probably won't be able to go see Alesana next Sunday night.. or From First To Last in October. :[ Buttttt, I am going to do all I can to try and convice my parents to let me go. In July I bought a vintage shawl that is totally covered in sequins. Set me back $40 in my hair extensions fund when I got them.. which is non-existant now, hmm.. But I absolutely love it and I am wearing it for the first time tomorrow so I'm pretty psyched. Oh, and, for the record,
:] xxxLucy

Blood&Immaturity
VMA'S, VMA'S, VMA'S. Its a real pain to not have cable anymore. That's why YouTube is here! I am pretty bummed that I didn't get to see it. So, lets push the whole Kanye & Taylor Swift thing to the side right now. I'll get to it in just a bit. I first want to talk about Lady GaGa's kick ass performance.
To tell you the truth, I was freaking out when stage blood was running down her stomach. I seriously thought something terribly wrong happened to her. I never expected her to do something like this. I mean, I was expecting something alongthe lines of a nude leotard a jacket and something to clear up the hermaphrodite rumors or something. Hey, crazy things happen at the VMA'S. But really, her performance was truly amazing. Her voice sounded so pure. She looked great. It's obvious that music and performing is something she's really passionate about. And thats one of the many reasons why I love her. I will always remember this quote by her... ""Don't make art unless you would die for it" I completely agree with it. Now, giving more attention to Kanye & Taylor Swift. I know he apologized already. But I just want to get it out there that when I watched this event on Youtube, the word "immature" just kept flashing in my head over and over again. Okay seriously, what he did was completley childish. I mean really. All I could think about is a classroom doing share & tell and some kid shares his new action figure and how much he's grateful for it and then the bully of the class has another and interupps the other kid and goes on about how his action figure is better and then lets him go on afterward. And I've also noticed that this is quite similar to the Dane Cook & Vanessa Hudgens situation at the Teens Choice Awards. Two complete assholes picking on young women at award shows on national television. I'm starting to think Dane Cook & Kanye really don't have any self esteem or respect and have some issues to work out. In my opinion, you have to be one fucked up loser to be picking on someone whose pretty young. I mean, come to think of it. I feel a little more sorry for Taylor than Vanessa. I mean, Vanessa took the nude picutres herself and thats her fault completley. But Dane Cook didn't need to mention it. I think Taylor earns a little more sympathy because she's sweet and pretty innocent...from what I know.
The world is annoying sometimes.

If the cops arrest a mime, do they tell him he has the right to remain silent?Of course the other night was the night of music. Frankly, I loved Madonna's speech for MJ. The performance/tribute blew my mind. I think they caught the essence perfectly. Janet rocked out of course. I personally loved the picture at the end with Janet and Michael. I remember the first time I ever saw MJ. It was the beginning/theme song to Free Willy. One of my favorite movies of all time. It's a weird thought. I also loved all the clothes in his tribute. Dude always had some awesome style. Is it weird I want all the jackets now?

The VMA'sOh my days….. I take it you all saw the VMA’s last night!? They get better every year enit?! I’m going to start by saying how siiiick Lady Gaga’s performance was! She never fails to deliver, that girl I swear! Even if she was dressed as if she had a bird’s nest round her head after her performance…. She’s mental but I love it. Beyonce’s performance was also amazing. She’s just so kool aint she! Especially with her ganstaaaa boyfriend Jay-Z performing ‘Empire State of Mind’ with my future wifey Alicia Keys…. She is sooooo hot!!!! Heavy tune too! Madonna’s speech to the king of pop, ‘Michael Jackson’ nearly brought me to tears…! The dance tribute to Michael Jackson made me wanna get up there with them and rock out to some MJ…. And the trailer for the new MJ film looks wicked! Last and definitely not least… Kanye West’s appearance was craaaaazy…. Poor Taylor Swift. Apparently Kanye did apologise to her though after the night had finished! All in all, I was exhausted after watching it…. An emotional roller-coaster! Haha!
Hope you all enjoyed it…. And hopefully you’ll be seeing us on it next year ;)

September 14, 2009VMA's
So last night were the VMA’s, and that’s what everyone seems to be talking about, to be honest I didn’t know it was on so I didn’t watch it. Until today I watched and saw everything that went down tehe. The whole Taylor- Kanye thing really pissed me off, seriously he just ruined himself right there. That was so rude and Taylor Swift did NOT deserve that at all. She is still new to all of this and that was a very important special moment to her. How did Kanye West even get on stage? Ok nothing against Beyonce or anything but her video wasn’t as good as Taylor Swifts, Beyonce is very talented and everything but there wasn’t anything special about her video. Taylors videos come with a story and creates feelings, it made me cry, her video was the sweetest thing ive ever seen lol. As for Beyonce her video was just dancing, yes she is talented when it comes to that, but it was just so bland and felt like it was gonna go on forever. And she is a good singer/dancer and all but her voice gets old real fast. Ughhh. I don’t mean to offend anyone! But anyways since Taylor only won the “best female video of the year” award and Beyonce won the “best video of the year” award anyways, Kanye should feel pretty stupid for makn an ass out of himself when Beyonce ended up winning an even bigger award. But it was veryyyyy sweet of Beyonce to let Taylor finish her speech. That makes me smile^^. Anyways Lady GaGa is truly amazing and talented, her performance blew me away. I cant stop watching it, she is a true entertainment fashion genius. I just cant get enough of her lol. My mum even lovedddddd her music video and performance for this song, it has great deepness, and political statements. We were both highly impressed.
Sorry I suck at describing things, grrrrrr. Also Madonna's speech was amazing!!!!!!! It made me cry. R.I.P. Michael Jackson. It is true, you never truly know what you have till its gone. wayyyy too many people take things for granted. All my life it seems as if everyone has taken me for granted and never would truly see or appreciate me for all the good ive done. Well theres been a lot of people in my life who have taken me for granted, then i got rid of them, when i wasnt around anymore they came back to me beggin almost, cuz well they realized I was the only one who truly did care about them, yet they would always toss me to the curb. Then whenever i take someone back who took me for granted, they would appreciate me for awhile then go back to old ways. I guess its once someones dead and truly gone forever then you realize and i mean like really truly REALIZE what you had and how that will never happen again. SO appreciate everyone and everything in your life, try not to focus so much on all the negativity and your past, cuz whats done is done and its gone, and you never know what can happen in an instant. Focus on all the positive things in your life, and dont take anything or anyone for granted, cuz you never know what tomarrow may bring. Everyone has problems, noone has had a just peachy life, {even tho it may seem like it fer some ppl}, everyone goes thru stuff, your not the only one with issues. There is always something worse that could have happened. SO just focus on all the postive things in your life, what you have rather instead of focusing on all the things you dont have!!! Sorry i hope i didnt offend anyone, and i hope i got my points across, freedom of speech, everyone has their own opinions, and these are just mine so chill! <3 Peace and Purple xoxox Mercade Mascara

The lack of trust leaves room for lust
School has started and I'm already over it. It's not really school in general, mostly the immature pricks that make up my high school. I'm tired of having to be around them all. Drives me absolutely bonkers! But on the bright side, it's SENIOR YEAR! woo hoo:D Livin' it up, risk it all, no regrets. Let's see...What's going on in the buzznet world? Oh have you heard of Marialia? If you haven't, check that missy out. She's an amazing designer. I entered one of her contests and I was one of the winners so she's going to make me a hair accessory! I'm super stoked on that. Cannot wait to see how it turns out<3 She's incredible so I know it'll turn out uber rad. Go to: marialiaxo.com to check out her line. What was your favorite part of the VMA's?

send me your amnesty down to the broken hearted.
last night, the vmas took place in new york city. i stayed up until around 11:30 watching it, and i must say, janet jackson's performance was quite amazing. i've always loved watching her dance. kanye west practically announced on public television that he was an asshole by humilitating taylor swift, as well as mtv cutting off the end of her speech once he gave the microphone that he promptly stole back to her. i've never been a fan of taylor swift.. never liked her music, never liked her looks.. but after seeing the look on her face when kanye said what he did, i felt truly sorry for her and knew that she didn't deserve anything like that. the only performance of the night, besides janet's, that was actually worth watching in my opinion was green day's fantastic performance of "east jesus nowhere". billie joe's hair was as crazy as ever, and i loved the blonde he had in it. i love how he brought tons of people on stage with him, even though it sent security on a rampage.. haha. they're the only ones who know what music is.. that it's not all about the strobe lights, dance moves and acts, but about expressing yourself through the music and connecting with the audience around you. they honestly never cease to amaze me. muse's performance was also quite wonderful.. i love their music, and hope to see them on the vmas more often. i think they did a very good job. and no matter what pink does, i'm always going to love her. she's so adorable.
about two hours after i got home from school, i decided to take a nap. i only recently woke up, at 6:45, and have never felt better. i think part of the reason i was so exhausted was from watching the vmas last night, and because i had a headache for some parts of the day that really tired me. and just as i was hoping, we have a half day on wednesday, which i'm wholeheartedly looking forward to. i've got my fingers crossed, in all hopes that this week will go by fast. school.. i'm really not fond of it. i really don't like getting up so early. no matter what time i go to bed, i always feel like i never get enough sleep. i really wish i didn't have to worry about it, and could instead take online classes. now if only i could convince my parents to let me do that.

BIG IF In the final stages of deployment...Hey there. This here blog is coming at you all the way from the sweltering paradise that is Tempe, AZ. Some of you may remember our old friend Ryan Mendez. Well, he has created quite the studio set up at his house here in AZ. Why AZ you ask? Ryan's wife is in graduate school for architecture at Arizona State. So over the last 8 months Sean and I have been traveling between my home in Athens, and his in San Diego to write songs. When we feel like they are ready to go we head here to AZ where Mendez slaps the lead guitars on and produces the sweet sounding demos you have all been listening to. (He won't be playing lead guitar in the band, however. That duty has been bestowed upon our friend Josh Portman, previously of the band Near Miss.) We have been writing and recording these songs in hopes that we get to record them all over again very soon. What I mean by that is these are the demos that we are hoping get us a new home at a new record label. This trip we recorded three songs. Monster, Empty Street, and Hang You Up. There is a version of Hang You Up on the myspace page but this one sounds much better thanks to Mr. Mendez. It looks like this is going to be our last trip out here for a good while. We have been told by the powers that be that these tunes are ready to"shop" as they say in Tinseltown. We will spend this week mixing these three and have them posted for you to hear the following week. But after that we may not be recording until we actually go make a full length record. So I wanted to say thanks. Thanks to everyone who has been following us as we have gone through these first few months. There is so much more to come and we really hope to be making an album that you can take home with you soon. We will get these new demos up as quick as we can. I hope everyone has a great week. One more thing, if you own any Kanye West albums, you should try and get your money back.
-Ryan

Do you want more of Jasey Rae???? (please read) Also VMA reactions.
wow, thank you so much for the comments on the final chapter of Jasey Rae. it's still kinda shocking me, 39?! That's a new high. I'm just so excited about it! Since there were so many, i might do an epilouge! I think you might want to know what happened with Kyle and all, so tell me if you do by commenting this. But for the VMA's. I was really upset for the red carpet. No ATL? That was upsetting. They didn't even show Cassadee once! AHH! I screamed when I saw Cobra's bus pull up. I don't really know why, but I didn't expect them to come in that way. hahaha. Leighton Meister or whatever, YOU DIDN'T WRITE THE SONG. Cobra Starship was the only reason you were there so whatever. I didn't agree with any of the winners. I was upset about all of them. I don't like Green Day that much, sorry, for you Green Day fans. All of the performers did a great job. Except Lady Gaga. Honestly, what was that. Do you think it's cool to hang yourself? Now, I wasn't too happy when I heard Russel was hosting again, but he did awesome. I love him for addressing the Lady Gaga hermophrodite rumor. That was amazing. Kanye, you're a dick. What on earth was going through your head when you decided to interrupt Taylor's speach? She's really talented and I think she deserved her award. Beyonce got 9 nominations. I think she could give one up for her. Beyonce was nice enough to have Taylor come out, in her moment of fame, to give Taylor her moment. That was great. The Michael Jackson tribute was really good. Janet did a great job. All American Rejects did awesome too. But Tyson, what's with the glitter? lol. Lady Gaga won too many awards. D: 3OH!3 deserved it. I loved how fast the reactions were on twitter. I sent about 75 last night. hahahah. All Time Low's interview was great! <3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SblaIEXrb0c Now we all know where Jack's obsession with waffles in Fan Fictions come from! I really wish Cobra Starship would have won! But at least they were nominated. That's huge. That's it. Want me to do an epilouge? comment! <3
