Seattle... I want to be in you.

Alright so I need a vacation.. soon.

My parents and my younger bro are going to visit my OTHER younger bro in Alberta for the weekend.
Unfortunately I had plans for Halloween.. also.. now I have to work on Halloween

My parents are ALSO going to Cuba next month for 10 days annd I figured that would be the best time to go.

Coincidently, there is a concert in Seattle and I have never been there before so it seemingly fits like a glove.
The GK Tour is in Washington for 2 nights and seeing as how I was uber bummed about All Time Low bailing last minute at Warped for unforseen circumstances.. missing Hey Monday for the BND tour in Vancouver due to unforseen traffic/unforseen travel issues/picking up one of my friends friends at the ferry terminal..... Also missing WTK at warped because Hit the Lights played around the same time.. and never seeing FNB but really wanting to.. this is the perfect tour!!!!

I will be dragging a friend of mine along, if not, I'll be going by myself. Needless to say I'm stoked/anxious.

Ever miss part of a concert because of your friends or family?

USA

This is my first time in america and i totally love it so far.

I've been here for 2 weeks now and I've seen a lot, starting with Portland, Oregon, following Chicago, Illinois (with a little concert - Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy and Blink 182 XD I just had to go there if I'm here, btw it totally rocked!), San Francisco, California and on saturday we are driving up to Seattle, Washington and Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Not to forget all the people we've met.

And although this trip was and is expensiv it is absolutely worth it.

concert

hey, so i know i haven't posted a journal in a while, but i've been crazy busy. i guess the best thing that's happened to me in 2009 just happened on saturday. as you can see from my profile pic, i went to a fall out boy concert on the 11th. it was so fun! it started at 5:30 and didn't end till 11. i had floor tickets and i was in the third row. i got to touch pete's foot (he's my favourite fall out boy) and i got a fob shirt too. the mosh pit was totally crazy, and i dropped my dad's cell phone ( we found it after, still in one piece). the openers were all really good, especially all time low and hey monday. cobra starship couldn't play tho. anyway, i hope you people had a good easter!

It's no Times Square.. but it sure is something...

A couple of friends and I went to Vancouver for a day over the weekend, it was great change of scenery! We started our adventure with drinks to go at Starbucks, then we walked down to Robson street and shopped. We went to: TNA, Aritzia, American Apparel, Dynamite, Lululemon, HMV... and the list goes on. After shopping, we went to get smoothies and a bite to eat, then caught the 7 o'clock ferry home.

Here are some pictures!

Whats your favorite thing to do during the weekend?

xo

Get To Know: Shapeshifter

Leona is proof that honesty is always the best policy. For the past five years, she’s been using her camera to capture a stunning and realistic view of her life living in Vancouver, British Columbia.  Her humble photo-blogging is not only an inspiration; it’s downright informative. Dad's place (Hockey)

Small, dimly lit living room,

My sister laying lazily on the couch,

Cell phone in hand.

The large window is open just a crack,

To let free the smoky haze.

The TV blaring,

(As much as possible,

Lest we hear the wrath,

Of the old neighbor man.)

The Avalanche versus the Canucks.

Go, Vancouver, go.

Tied, three minutes into the second,

Zero on each side.

Pyatt takes a shot, a miss,

But a penalty shot for him, for hooking.

Excitement, and a goal, and we're in the lead.

I'm not one for hockey,

But when BC scores,

And the home crowd goes crazy,

Along with my dad,

I feel lucky, and glad,

That I live in such a cold country.
