All Points West 2009 Flooded Jersey City With Mud and Music

Mud, mud, more mud, and music. That pretty much sums up the All Points West festival for 2009. Even before it started to rain on Friday, the ground was already a bit soggy, so once it started to pour, it was a 5 year old’s dream playground of slushy, gooey, mud.  Kind of like Woodstock all over again, right? Details on the festival ...

What advice I have for those who can't stand a voice: Please Read!

Now people are dumb enough to make stupid remarks to bring out the beast in you right? Well, I have found a way for this NOT  to happen ever again. With my beautiful knowledge of music, and 10 Ways To Ignore Those without Them Knowing, you can solve this problem. EXAMPLE: This "someone" comes upto you and makes an unsuspected remake about you that doesn't even make sense, but still, it effects you in a way. Think of a song, any song, and if it goes with exactly what you're thinking of doing to that person play it [in your head of course]. Don't EVER show emotion that you are blanked out! They'll notice. Until they're done just pretend to listen, they're done, you leave, and you go about you're day. Do I seem to be a complete weirdo or dork for writing this, Yes. Will I regret it later, Maybe, maybe not. I Hope You Use It Though!

Austin City Limits, Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl was great. Does is amaze anyone else how nasty those people can be though? i've said this before but the sad thing is, is that stuff like that really does happen. not thinking about anyone but yourself..happens A LOT actually...people get so wrapped up in what they want and the way they want things to go that they never stop to think about how it affects others...im sure blair wasn't intentionally trying to corrupt her mom's fashion show but in trying to destroy Serena she almost destroyed the show...once again, not thinking about your actions..

Austin City Limits...PLEASEEE tell me that there was someone there who loved it as much as me...my favorite performances were vampire weekend, hot chip, and mgmt...during hot chip it was about to turn into an all out dance party rave because they were just combining all of their songs but right when the crowd started getting REALLY intense they stopped..nooooooooooo was all i could say ha...i heard a little bit of the flyleaf performance from across the park and sadly she did not sounds all that great at some parts..N.E.R.D was amazing..Del tha funky homosapien was awesome..such an upcomming artist i can tell...and he wwas walking around after his performance so i chatted a little and hes a really cool guy..caught a little bit of the foofighters, the black keys (amazing), slightly stoopid, octopus project ( girl's hair is CRAZY), mates of state (LOOOOOOOOVE them) ....it was so much fun and i already can't wait till next year...so many good bands, thousands of people, lots of love, lots of fun

Beck, Justice Rock San Diego for Street Scene

Friday night's Street Scene Festival, the first of a two day fest, saw bands like Beck, Justice, and Vampire Weekend return to the actual street; the past few years, the festival has bounced around town in less-than-desired locations. This return to roots move only added to the frantic and energetic performances from that day's bands.

How were the bands at Street Scene?
