Chapter One

I was abandoned at my birth. My family of vampires left me under a willow tree while being chased by hunters. I know my family wanted me, but I was too hard to hide. So they left me. Although I was a young baby, my skill level and intelligence was equal to the average human adult. So I was capable of understanding how to care for myself and the frightening situation I was in. Going to humans wouldn’t be the best thing to do right now, I thought. So I hunted. After my stomach was satisfied, I wandered into a small human city. I reminded myself that a human dwelling wasn’t isn’t right for vampires. Their blood will be too tempting. I have to wait until I can control myself, I thought. So I settled into an abandoned house.
