HAPPY 4TH OF JULY ........

featured HAPPY 4TH OF JULY ........

I hope all my American friends enjoyed the day. This was our 233 year that America has been independent. I did some gardening and also found a baby bird that was in danger. I'm not sure what happened to it but I'm thinking by the way it is acting it isn't good. I have it inside in a safe quiet place and if it is still alive by morning I will take it to the nature center. I may try to feed it a little warm milk with a little sugar in it in an eyedropper. It was a beautiful warm but not humid day today, gardening was fun today and just what I needed.

Peace to ALL : )

Oh I hope the bird survives, I rescued a baby robin last summer that left the nest too soon and took it to our Wild Life in Need center. Those places are amazing. Hope your 4th went well!!! :)

It really and truly warms my heart to hear all the things you do for the animals that cross your path.

Thank you Everyone....Sadly I don't think the bird has much of a chance, it has it's head back almost like it's neck is broken but it's not. It is able to hold it right but has trouble moving around. It obviously has a brain injury. I was able to get it to drink some of the warmed up milk and it did swallow okay. It looks like a young mockingbirg bird the nature center can put it down humanely. We have a cat that still hangs around here so I had to catch it since I didn't want it to be killed in such a horrible way. At least it will spend it's last hours protected.....
