The revenge of the Tuesday Recommends! X)
Haha! So it's really late in the day, and all, but it's still Tuesday, NEVERTHELESS!
Ready. Set. Go!
1. TEAVANA

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. Never thought I'd be obsessed with tea, but here I am, excited about a tea place! There are always free samples, which ALWAYS goes over well with me. Free = Happy Vox! They have pretty much every tea known to man and it's all fresh tea. My favorite so far is the Fruta Bomba which is a green tea with with a whole bunch of different fruits in it. I mix in some sugar and put it in the fridge to take to school with me for the next day. It's just the right amount of caffeine for me. :D
2. COUP DE MAIN

Really awesome webzine from New Zealand. Kind of makes me wish that I was from there. I hear consistant comments from bands (i.e. Hey Monday, Cobra Starship...) that interviews that this magazine does are extremely awesome. I hear about new stuff all the time by following this magazine. It feels like they like having people involved and there's ALWAYS a contest or two going on...(hence why I lived in NZ!) Haha. Definitely check it out!
3. TROUBADOR

I saw this band live a few weeks back and they're really awesome! Very melodic, strong sounding music. Totally a band that, if you're in the area, you should go see, and if you're not in the area, support so you can bring them to your town. I was talking to them and I mentioned how there is a venue in California that's also called the Troubadour and it would be so awesome if they played there. Troubador at the Troubadour. X)
4. ANDREW BRAVENER
Really awesome youtube dude. Found him when I started watching VlogCandy which is a really super sweet (no pun intended) collaberation channel. At the moment, Andrew is in the running to be a VJ on Much Music in Canada. He definitely has my vote! (If it counts, curse my being from the U.S.!) He's very artistic and very funny. Check out his videos, sometime! :)
5. EVERYTHING IS ILLUMINATED

I'm about halfway done reading this book and it's SOOO GOOOD! There's the really tragic side of the story that Jonathan is telling of his anscestry and the really hilarious side of the tale that Alex tells about their journey. Alex uses very fractured English to tell his stories which makes me either laugh hysterically at or look confused at until I read further and figure out WHAT THE HELL HE WAS TRYING TO SAY! Read it with me and tell me what you think!
Anything you're into lately? Anything I should scope or look at? I'm always up to hear about new things!
