To the shock of nearly every Nine Inch Nails fan, Trent Reznor released a new NIN full-length album, The Slip, at midnight on Monday. Unlike Ghosts, the record has no payment options and is available for free exclusively through the band's Web site. More NIN already???

NIN are releasing their seventh full-length album, Ghosts I-IV, on CD this Tuesday and Absolute Punk is offering you exclusives including an interview with Trent Reznor, avatars and a stream of "28 Ghosts IV."

Fresh off the release of Ghosts, Trent Reznor has announced that Nine Inch Nails have re-formed and will embark on a long tour in support of the album. The first leg on the road will hit a large number of arenas in North America, starting at the end of July!

Nine Inch Nails, following the release of their successful instrumental album Ghosts, has announced an expansions of the project by inviting fans to create short films based on each of the nameless tracks on the record. Trent Reznor himself promises to review all entries for an eventual "film festival" of the best work submitted.

Rejoice! Country bumpkin Alan Jackson will top next week's Billboard 200 with the release of his Good Time album, according to Soundscan. Most importantly, he has banished Janet Jackson to the dark depths of third place.
Luckily, NIN didn't join in the fight to claim the #1 spot.

Industry bigwigs have confirmed that Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails will be headlining this year's Lollapalooza on August 1-3rd at Chicago's Grant Park, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Nine Inch Nails' album, Ghosts I-IV, is proving to be a successful venture for Trent Reznor. Copies of the $300 deluxe edition of the album have already sold out, reportedly netting Reznor $750,000. This seems to be proof that fans are still willing to buy high quality music – if it's worth it.
