Trend Choices

I've noticed a lot of trends that I am thoroughly enjoying.

I'm loving the bright colors that are easing their way into retail stores.  I'm so over all the dull winter stuff.  I'm not saying I'll never wear black and grey again, but I will say that I'm going to be leaning towards some more fun colorful tones soon.

Also, I am adoring the layering of jewelry.  Bracelets and bangles are becoming good friends of mine.  Necklaces can get a bit tedious but still, they're good when you need to spice up an otherwise bland outfit.   Hanna Beth brought this accessory trend to my attention in one of her videos.

I'm really glad to see mod and block structure making its way back into fashion.  Henry Holland did it best, I think, with his PANTONE paint chip outfits. I would love to get my hands on one of those outfits.  There have been so many times, when I was studying graphic design, that I had to ruffle through PANTONE books to find that "perfect color".  I never thought those swatches could be used in such a creative way.

Another thing I'm slowly picking up on are fedora hats.  Previously, I tried to stay away from those because in America only douche bags wear them but in the London the cutest girls will be walking down the street casually sporting a fedora and not looking like a scene club rat.  Paired with a nice summery mini-dress or boyfriend jeans and a tank it's sure to be a smash hit.
